Hello,

The Seeds of Peace Collective is reaching out to organizations in the
northwestern U.S. to organize and participate in the Northwest Action
Camp a seven day intensive training and workshop event to be held at
the end of May.

The workshops might include non-violence training, basic, intermediate, and
advanced blockades differentiating between urban and rural actions,
awareness tactics, climbing techniques, action medical, first aid,
documenting injuries, legal observation, know your rights, jail support,
security culture, DIY media and media advocacy, racism, classism, and
sexism in the movement, conflict resolution, and community organizing.

The intent is to provide the participants a diverse and all-inclusive
week of trainings covering all elements of campaigning and safety.
However, to do this we need input from the organizations in the region
to ensure that we offer workshops and trainings that will be useful to
their campaigns and other activities.

There are three ways to stay informed or get involved with this project:
1. send questions to this email address
2. ask to be added to the listserv
3. attend planning meetings - more info on the first one below

Myself and two members from SOP will be meeting in Portland, OR next
week. If you think that it would be beneficial for us to have a
meeting in other locations and you can help contact organizations in
that area, please let us know. Please forward this information to
other groups or lists that might be interested.

First NWAC Meeting
Thursday, February 7
7 pm - 9pm
Liberty Hall, 311 N Ivy
