[olympiaworkers] Regional ICE meetings Fri and Sat

carpools will leave Harrison and Division at 12:15pm on Saturday.

A message from Pitch Pipe Infoshop (Tacoma):

Come out this Friday and Saturday to discuss the I.C.E (immigration and
customs enforcement) detention center that is right here in Tacoma, and
the raids that have been tearing families apart and terrifying immigrant
communities. There have been raids in Shelton, Portland and Lynnwood to
name a few. I.C.E agents even had the help of local police during these
raids. The raids are not showing any sign of slowing down. This all
coincides with a heavy militarization of the border with watch towers
sprouting up creating an atmosphere of constant surveillance on both sides
of the wall. This all must be stopped in its tracks if we wish to live in
a world were we all have the freedom of movement.

This will be a start to local and regional decentralized community
organizing with the aim of stopping these raids, putting an end to these
Dept. of Homeland Security Detention Centers, and showing acts of
solidarity with those who camp out in Mexicali/Calexico No Borders Camp in
November. Friday will be more of an informal meeting, were as Saturday
will be more focused and directed at coming to some solid ideas as to what
we all can do about these raids and this detention center. Friday night
there will be music at the Pitch Pipe played by some friends from Portland
and possibly some other local folk bands. Come share your ideas and
thoughts and hopefully we can pull something out of this that will knock
the wall down.
